Hi all again! For once I will not be sating ground breaking news, ranting about how much I have problems with the CGI Chipmunks, or giving a how to on the new Chat we have (which apparently no one uses) No sir, I will be talking about History today!

I figured I'd give you a brif little history of how much this wika has gone though, seems how I have been a crat on here for almost 4 years (4 in July) I would tell you about it's early says and how we have come to where we are now. :) Feel free to not read if you don't desire to hear the story, if you do, let's start in.

This Wika was founded by Bluemonkeyboy on the last day of the year of 2007, the wika was very small and had a lot of problems with users overtaking each other due to their desire to be the lead contributor to a new Wika. He was not a very strong leader and soon after The Alvin Wika as it was called, got a new moderator to be the leader and work out the kinks in the system and make the wika run smoothly. That editor was Vaznock . He was the lead Crat for about 4 or 5 months, changing the name of the Wika to Munkapedia to incorporate all the Chipmunks and establishing our current policy.

Approximately 1 month after he became lead Crat I joined the sight and within a month or so, was promoted to the Council. HaloFan500 was promoted right after wards to Crat and nothing much happened until August of 2009. During this time, Vaznock revealed that we was 13 at the time and was no longer able to hold the position due to school. I was 14 at the time, (Though I did not reveal this) and as his last act of being a Crat, promoted me to supervise the site in his stead.

By this time Halofan had a reputation of disappearing for long periods of time with no warning and I suppose he trusted me enough to stick around.  Soon after I was promoted there were problems with the User Manta-bee involving actions on her half that were against the policy and due to Halofan, she was able to keep her privileges. Out of her actions the Munkapedia Fannon section was created and thus a no Fanfiction policy was created. Later, true to Halofan’s nature he edited for 3 months then disappeared, reappearing for 5 more months and well, you know the rest, he hasn’t returned since his last edits in August of 2010.

During the time between Halofan’s edits Marchbaby started editing around these parts in late 2009 and was promoted to Crat in May of 2010 to make up for absences in the Crats. Admittedly I was not the best Crat for most of 2010, disappearing for a month or so and Marchbaby would continue to cover for the loss. Soon after Halofan made his last edit we had a outbreak of Spam due to the new movie and all members were put on high alert, securely making Marchbaby and I the Crats of Munkapedia.

I'm sure there were more events but these are some of the major ones. :)

I wished to re-iterate this history so we know what we have gone though as a Wika, and this History can be taken into consideration as Marchbaby and I make to the required changes to the Wika. So my question to you, the reader is? Is the steps Marchbaby and I are taking in the right are of thinking or not?
