  • It really makes me laugh every time Dave screams Alvin's name. How come he doesn't yell at Simon or Theodore?

    • There's been a few times he's yelled Simon or Theodore's name (and even once when Alvin yells Dave) though most of the time it's Alvin because usually he's the one most directly responsible for Dave's troubles.

    • Plus, Dave seems to have a rant against Alvin in the first film even thought they are a family.

      Correct.

In fact, I remember on the Ruby-Spears series of the Chipmunks that Dave Seville yelled SIMON only a few times (never on any of the songs obviously) throughout the entire show {not counting "Simon, Theodore, ALVIN!" episodes} (The Incredible Shrinking Dave (in distress inside the dryer) and Back to Dave's Future (the first true episode of Dave screaming SIMON...IN 1987). New, Improved Simon (1984) have Dave yelled Simon in worry. I'm surprised Dave didn't yell on The Price Isn't Right (85).

As for Theodore, well...he did yell Theodore on the Chipmunks 1981 song, "Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Chipmunks". Also Dave yelled Theodore in worry on BOTH 1983 episodes, Mr. Fabulous and The Incredible Shrinking Dave (Dave said Theodore like TWICE).

In the 1961 series, Theodore was almost as troublesome as Alvin; Simon still become completely fine (Alvin and the Ostrich is the only exception).
