  • Have Simon and Jeanette or Theodore and Eleanor ever went on a date in the 80s series? I haven't seen all the episodes, but I know Alvin and Brittnay have, more or less, before.

    • Elanor went on a date with Theodore in The Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman, and the only instince of alvin and brittnay dating is in the I love the Chipmunks valentines day special. Jeanette and Simon have never gone on a date, unless you include the series Alvin and the Chipmunks go to the Movies, if you factor that in, all of them have dated.

    • So one movie, a special, and an episode where they play different characters. This is what I wanted to know. From this information, they are not "boyfriend/girlfriend" as a result on one date.

    • They are not necessarily boyfriend/girlfriend but they have interest in eachother, right?

    • You are correct. This is seen many times in the 80s series and the CGI films. Such interest, as you will, can be seen on the couple pages.

    • There is several merchandise items(The Chipmunks Go Hollywood game for instance) that refer to The Chipettes as "The Chipmunks' girlfriends".

And Alvin and Brittany are supposed to have a date in Dreamlighting but he stands her up for basketball.

      That's nice to know, thanks.

Rough Translation: "I think that Alvin and Brittany like but by the character of both this love is in waiting of the moment they are boyfriends, Simon and Jeanette is like compare hobbies such as the sciences, but they are rather shy for that so I best them as 'friends', Eleanor and Theodore is that they like and show it so them if they are a couple who let themselves see."

Not the best translation, but it's something for future readers.

I disagree with your opinion about Si and Jean, I definitely see something MORE than friendship, and you can see that as well in in 80s, Chipwrecked, and the new episodes! Maybe you think this way because of the many things in common, but I think the other couples have same interests as well and that means nothing.

In real life couples should have SOME things in common as well.

(I might, or might not understood quite well what you said, but after DEmerson's translation I think I got it).

    • Which episode of the classic 80's series has Simon build a machine that showed the boys and girls as married couples and Alvin and Brittany with two kids?  Those two do have something in common: huge egos. I'm not sure that spells a successful relationship.

    • That episode is Big Dreams. The fact they really care for each other maybe is enough make a successful relationship.

The angle on the camera suggests that those are Alvin's perceptions. If the situations played out on the screen, it would be clear that it would be what everyone was seeing. Also, remember that the machine broke a few times while Simon was trying to operate it.

While Alvin and Brittany are on and off again friends and have some interest in each other, given that both are polyamorous, they likely won't marry or stay married if they did.

I watched the meet the wolfman special, but I don't remember the dating. In the play that misinterprets the source work, I believe Eleanor was playing Dr. Jekyll's mistress. I will agree that Eleanor and Theodore are very close friends, but I've never seen them date in the series. Same thing with Simon and Jeanette.

    • They were actors in Cinderella Cinderella. A better source for that may be the episode with Captain Chipmunk.
