Chipmunk Mania - I'm Henry The VIII, I Am

"I'm Henry VIII, I Am" is a 1910 British music hall song by Fred Murray and R. P. Weston that became a signature song of music hall star Harry Champion and later the fastest selling song in history, to that point, when revived in 1965 by Herman's Hermits. The song is covered by The Chipmunks, first released as a single in 1965. The song is also included in the albums Chipmunks à Go-GoChipmunk ManiaThe Chipmunks 20 All Time Golden Greats, and Greatest Hits: Still Squeaky After All These Years (2007).

Lyrics

The Chipmunks:
I'm Henry the Eighth, I am
Henry the Eighth I am, I am!
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before
And every one was an Henry (Henry)
It wouldn't be a Willie or a Sam (no Sam)
I'm her eighth old man named Henry
Henry the Eighth, I am!

Second verse, same as the first!

I'm Henry the Eighth, I am
Henry the Eighth I am, I am!
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before
And every one was an Henry (Henry)
It wouldn't be a Willie or a Sam (no Sam)
I'm her eighth old man named Henry
Henry the Eighth, I am!

(Repeat)

H-e-n-r-y
Henry (Henry) Henry (Henry)
Henry the Eighth I am, I am!
Henry the Eighth, I am!
Yeah!
