Urban Chipmunk is the first album by The Chipmunks that covers country hits. The album was re-released on cassette and CD in 1993 with an alternate track list and alternate cover art. The re-release includes two new songs and a new remix of "I Love a Rainy Night."

Reception[]

Urban Chipmunk became the second album by The Chipmunks to be certified Gold by the RIAA.[2] The album was also certified Gold by the CRIA on October 1, 1982[3] and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Recording in 1982.[4] The album won an NARM award for Best Selling Children's Album for RCA Records in 1982.[5]
