Saving Simon is an episode of the ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks series.

Synopsis

Believing Simon is going away to a boarding school, Alvin and Theodore do all they can to thwart his departure and keep him at home.

Plot

After Theodore overhears a conversation with Dave, he tells Alvin, who confirms with Dave, that Simon has plans to go to the Science Institute. Upstairs, Theodore and Alvin ponder what it would be like without Simon (Theodore dreams of ending up in prison and Alvin behaving recklessly without Simon's good sense). Brittany joins initially supporting Theodore only to dream she (and The Chipettes) will be a bigger star(s) without Simon. Alvin figures out her devious ploy so she agrees to help. They develop "Operation Saving Simon," which entails stealing Simon's clothes, shutting down transportation, and eliminating communications. Phase one is completed while Jeanette distracts Simon with a crossword puzzle. Phase two consists of compromising Simon's school interview. In order to do so, Brittany convinces Dave that he must go to school to discuss Alvin's grades with Principal Meadows. Dave leaves and Theodore lures Simon upstairs where Jeanette locks him in the closet. Meanwhile, Alvin dresses as Simon and bombs the interview with the science councilor. Simon confronts Alvin and informs him the interview was for science camp over the summer. To make it up to him, The Chipettes and his brothers hold a mini science camp in their own yard before Dave asks them about his broken car.
