Club Chipmunk: The Dance Mixes was released in an attempt for Alvin and the Chipmunks to stay mainstream by mingling the group into the 90's dance generation. Both The Chipmunks and The Chipettes cover various popular pop and dance songs for the first time. Though Dave is absent in all the album's tracks, a new remix of "Witch Doctor" provides a pleasant reminder of The Chipmunks' beginnings.
