Ashley Grey is a singer, and a main character, in the fourth CGI/live-action film, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.

Ashley, a young and famous singer, is first seen exiting a limo to a crowd of paparazzi. She is a friend of The Chipmunks and helps up Theodore after the crowd trampled the boys.
She hosts an album release party in Miami (at which Dave attends as her music producer). During the party, she introduces The Chipmunks and The Chipettes before they perform their original song "Home." Ashley's later impressed by Miles' guitar skills so she invites him to a future party back in L.A.

Ashley cares greatly for her friends, whom she treats as her equal and best friends, The Chipmunks. Overall, Ashley is a very kind-hearted, yet busy person who tries her best to help others and moves people with her kindness and honesty.
Ashley is spirited, and is often seen taking great enjoyment in virtually everything life has to offer. During her free time, Ashley engages in various activities such as singing, proving herself to be talented and fashionable, as well as expressive, as she made her mark on her friends through always being with them, creating a vibrant friendship filled with color and personality.
Ashley is very social in this regard, and values her loved ones and best friends deeply. This is especially seen through her relationship with The Chipmunks. Ashley was able to bypass Miles' supposedly nerdy nature, and managed to bring out a humble figure, who is as loving as the lost girl, herself. With genuine love and respect for one another, Ashley and Miles formed a romantic relationship built on purity and devotion—a relationship that would both better themselves individually, and lead to the ultimate realization of their dreams.
